Frequently Asked Questions About Heating Installation
Heat pump or gas boiler – which is the better fit?
It depends on the building: heat pumps work most efficiently in well-insulated homes with underfloor or panel heating, qualify for subsidies, and lower operating costs in the long run. Gas boilers are often the more practical solution where space is tight in a period building, or when you want a straightforward device swap without renovation work. We inspect your building on site and recommend whichever option makes the most economic sense.
How long does a heating system replacement take?
A straightforward gas boiler swap is usually finished in a single day. Switching to a heat pump, including adjustments to the distribution system, typically takes two to five working days depending on scope.
Are there subsidies for heat pumps in Vienna?
Yes. Both the Austrian federal government and the City of Vienna subsidize the switch to heat pumps through the „Sauber Heizen für Wien" (Clean Heating for Vienna) program and the federal „Raus aus Öl und Gas" (Out of Oil and Gas) scheme. We advise you on the current subsidy guidelines and help you with the application.
