Space Optimization

Storage Space Under the Sloped Ceiling

During loft conversions, we plan and build custom storage space under sloped attic ceilings – often directly in the bathroom or adjacent to plumbing installations. This makes use of floor area that would otherwise go to waste, and we match tiles, lighting, and built-ins to the rest of the room concept.

Process

How the Renovation Proceeds

Site Survey & As-Built Plan

We assess the condition of the existing installations on site and create an as-built plan as the basis for further planning.

Coordination with Property Management & Authorities

Riser pipe renovations often require coordination with property management, the owners' association, or local authorities – we support you with the quote and communication.

Phased Implementation

We renovate the lines riser by riser or floor by floor, so that day-to-day operations in the building are disrupted as little as possible.

Pressure Test, Documentation & Handover

Once complete, we test the new lines with a pressure test, document the work, and hand over the system.

Renovation Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Renovation & Modernization

What is a riser pipe renovation and when is it needed?

A riser pipe renovation is the replacement of the vertical gas and water lines that run through a building's entire stairwell. It becomes necessary when the pipes reach the end of their service life, corrode, start leaking, or no longer meet current standards – often once a period building reaches 40 to 60 years of age.

Does the whole building need to be renovated at the same time?

No, we typically work in stages or riser by riser, so that only part of the building or individual units are briefly affected at any one time. This keeps day-to-day life largely undisturbed for the remaining tenants or owners.

Who commissions a riser pipe renovation – individual tenants or the property manager?

Since these are shared building lines, it's usually the property management company or owners' association that commissions the renovation. We're happy to prepare a detailed quote with technical explanations that you can use directly for the owners' meeting or resolution process.
